Counter-depth and Eichler kitchens
Eichler kitchens have radiant floor heat in the slab. A fridge sitting on a warm slab pulls in warmer air from below, so the compressor runs longer than the manual expects. We check the floor temperature, the toe-kick grille and the gap behind the unit before we blame a part.
If you swapped in a counter-depth fridge yourself, the most common problem we find is a blocked front grille or a cabinet panel pushed too tight against the top vent.

Pull the toe-kick grille and vacuum the coils behind it. Make sure the top vent on a built-in is not covered by a cabinet panel. If ice is visible on the back wall of the freezer, write that down for the tech.
