BlueStar Appliance Repair in the San Francisco Bay Area
BlueStar range and oven repair
People who buy BlueStar tend to cook a lot. These are open-burner ranges with high-BTU burners, French tops and custom colors, usually the centerpiece of a remodeled kitchen in San Francisco or down the Peninsula. If a burner won’t light, the oven won’t hold temperature, or the griddle heats in patches, we can come out and work carefully around the built-in cabinetry and the gas connections. Repairs use OEM parts, and qualifying repairs carry a 90-day parts and labor warranty. Our techs are factory trained on BlueStar ranges and ovens.
We’re at 140 San Pedro Rd, Daly City, CA 94014. All work happens at your home; we don’t have a walk-in counter. Call 415-585-5900 or email service@bayappliancerepair.com. Hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and we’re closed weekends. Same-day service is often available. California BEAR #46247.
What usually fails on a BlueStar
On BlueStar gas ranges, most calls are about ignition: the spark module, the regulator or the burners themselves. Grease plus salty coastal air on open burners speeds that up. In the oven, bake, broil and convection fan problems show up as food that cooks unevenly. A griddle or French top that seems to have “weak gas” often turns out to be the surface or the control, which we test before replacing anything. If you have a matching fridge or dishwasher, a cooling, frost or drain problem there is a separate diagnosis.
- Burners not lighting, or a poor flame
- Oven temperature off, or convection not working
- Bad control or spark module
- Griddle or French top not heating evenly
- Matching fridge or dishwasher problems

Repair or replace?
If the body, gas manifold and oven cavity are in good shape, a BlueStar is usually worth fixing. A new igniter, spark module or bake element gets it cooking again for far less than a new range. Replacing makes more sense when the cabinet or cavity is damaged, the controls keep failing, or the range is old enough that parts are hard to get. We’ll show you what we found and what it costs so you can decide.
