If your oven takes forever to preheat or won't heat at all, it's usually one part. On gas ovens that's the bake igniter, which gets weak with age long before it quits. On electric ovens it's the bake or broil element, a temperature sensor or the control board. We work on freestanding ranges, slide-ins, wall ovens and pro-style ranges.
Common oven and range problems we fix
Won't heat or won't preheat
Gas: weak igniter or the safety valve. Electric: a burned-out element, a sensor or a relay on the control board.
Bakes unevenly or runs hot or cold
A temperature sensor that's off, a convection fan motor, or a door that isn't sealing. We test the actual temperature before we touch anything.
Burners won't light or keep clicking
Wet or cracked spark igniter, a bad spark module or a switch that's stuck. Common after a spill.
Oven light or display is out
Control board, a blown fuse in the control circuit, or a failed transformer.
Self-clean locked the door
The door lock motor or switch can fail during self-clean. Don't force it; we'll get it open without bending the latch.
Smell of gas
Turn the oven off, don't use switches, leave and call PG&E first. We can repair the appliance once it's safe.

Frequently asked questions
How much does oven repair cost?
Oven and range repairs start from $275. Pro-style and high-end ranges usually cost more because of the parts. The $219 service call is free if you go ahead with the repair.
Is a weak oven igniter really a repair?
Yes. A gas igniter can still glow and not get hot enough to open the gas valve. The oven seems dead, but a new igniter fixes it.
Do you repair Wolf, Viking and BlueStar ranges?
Yes. Our techs are factory trained on the high-end brands, and we use OEM parts.
Should I use the self-clean to fix a dirty oven before you come?
Better not. Self-clean runs very hot and is one of the most common times boards, fuses and door locks fail.
