San Mateo is a regular stop for our techs, straight down 280 or 101 from our Daly City base. Dryers in San Mateo houses often vent through the roof or a long wall run, especially when the laundry is upstairs or in the middle of the house. Long vent runs are the main reason dryers get slow.

We come out to Aragon, Sunnybrae, Shoreview and the rest of San Mateo.

Common dryer problems we fix in San Mateo

Hot outside but clothes still wet

Clogged vent run. Roof vents also collect lint at the cap.

Dryer is too hot to touch

Blocked vent or a stuck cycling thermostat. Stop using it until it's checked.

No heat on an electric dryer

Element, thermal fuse or a high-limit thermostat.

Drum noise

Rollers, glides or the idler pulley.

Before you call

If your vent goes through the roof, the cap up there is often where the lint stops. Don't climb up if you aren't comfortable. We can tell from inside whether the line is restricted.
