Neighborhoods we cover

We work across San Bruno: Crestmoor, Rollingwood and Portola Highlands in the hills west of I-280; Mills Park and Belle Air; and the flatter streets around El Camino Real, San Mateo Avenue and Lomita Park. We also cover the area near Skyline College on the ridge.

What we see in San Bruno homes

San Bruno’s housing is mostly single-family homes built after World War II, many of them on hillside lots. There are also apartments and condos along El Camino Real and near the shopping area at Tanforan. A few patterns come up often:

  • Original kitchen layouts with newer appliances. A modern refrigerator or dishwasher squeezed into an older cabinet opening can overheat or leak if it isn’t installed with enough clearance. We check the installation as well as the part. See refrigerator repair and dishwasher repair.
  • Laundry in the garage or under the house. On hillside lots, the washer and dryer are often on a lower level, with long drain and vent runs. See washer repair, washer not spinning and dryer repair.
  • Gas ranges and ovens that won’t light or won’t hold temperature. See oven repair and stove repair. If you smell gas, leave the house and call PG&E or 911 first.
  • Microwaves and freezers as well. See microwave repair and freezer repair.

Rentals and property managers
