What are the most common Wolf range and oven problems?

Why does my Wolf burner keep clicking or not light?

On spark-ignition burners, constant clicking or a burner that won’t catch often comes from moisture or a spill around the igniter, a burner cap that isn’t seated, or a failing igniter or spark module. Let the cooktop dry completely and check that the caps sit flat. If the clicking continues, it needs a technician. If you smell gas, turn off the burner, leave the house and call PG&E or 911.

The oven won’t heat or heats unevenly

A failed bake or broil element, igniter, temperature sensor or convection fan can all cause an oven that’s slow to heat, runs cold or bakes unevenly. Our oven not heating guide covers the safe checks.

Controls or display problems

Unresponsive knobs, a blank display or an error message can point to a control board, a switch or a wiring fault. Write down any message on the display before you call.

The oven door or gasket

Heat escaping around the door makes the oven work harder and the front panel hot. Hinges and gaskets can be replaced.

What to have ready

Every Wolf appliance has a model and serial number label. Your owner’s manual shows where it is on your model. Have the number ready when you call, along with a description of the problem. It helps us check parts before the visit.
