Finding a good repair service for household appliances

Finding a good repair service for household appliances

Household appliances are meant to make the daily household chores easier to manage. When they break down, swift repairs are needed, since a malfunctioning home appliance often causes the associated tasks to grind to a halt- imagine ending up with a faulty oven. However, instead of repairing it on your own, it is advisable to get appliance repair services from experienced professionals who deal in repairs and installations of household appliances.

Homeowners often have a difficult time selecting the right repair service for their home appliances. It is difficult to trust in a repair service as you would have to leave your precious machines in their hands. Here are a few tips that will make the selection process for a repair service simpler for you.

Get Referrals
Your friends and families, people you trust and believe, will give you their honest feedback on any repair services they’ve employed in the past. When someone you know recommends a service provider to you on the basis of their professionalism, quality of repairs, pricing, and customer service- go for it!

Check for Insurance and Licenses

It is highly important that the company you select is insured and licensed. In case of an unfortunate mishap, you may have to pay for any damages caused on your premises. An insured company would be able to cover any damages caused to their employees.

Experience of the company
Find out how long the company has been in the industry and whether they are certified for the work they do. A company with a longer working history in your locality should be preferred over a new one to ensure reliability.

Check out online directories
Check out the business directories online for your region and check whether the firm you’re thinking to call has been included on the list. Checking the local directories is a better idea as you may be able to find referrals too.

Talk to the technician
It is essential to know the details of the technician the company is sending over to your home for the repairs. Ask for a background check as well as his experience. Talk to the technician about the problem at hand and judge him by the way he answers your queries and what he says about the repairs needed.

Posting amended review based on my follow up conversation with Gene, the manager. He was kind and very interested in ensuring my experience was understood as an opportunity for improvement. I am confident now, from my discussion with Gene, the experience I had was an anomaly and limited to the individual I interacted with whom may be subject to performance discussions. If I have an issue, I will reconsider and give Bay Appliance an opportunity solely predicted on Gene, the business manager and his handling of my issue.

Our experience with Bay Appliance was great from start to finish. Kashawndra contacted me shortly after I reached out for help and we were able to setup an appointment in a couple of days since this wasn't an emergency repair. The technician Jon showed up on time and diagnosed the problem fairly quickly. I decided not to do the repair because the wine cooler was around 10 years old and probably not worth fixing but Jon was up front with me about the possibilities. I will definitely use Bay for my next appliance repair.

Just had a great experience with bay appliance repair. Alex E came to fix my fridge and was in and done in minutes. He was on time and went the extra mile to see the project through. He was there to fix a fridge drawer and when done I asked him to tighten the handle. He said it couldn't be done because of an internal part but decided to take the handle off anyway to see if there was something he could do. He found that something he wasn't expecting was causing the loose door handle and fixed it. Thanks bay appliance repair.
